Iran-Russia customs exchange exporters info: Official

December 15, The Iran Project – Attempting to complete "green corridor" between Iran and Russia’s customs, Iran Customs International Cooperation Department hosted the CEOs of 11 top Iranian exporters to Russia.

Following the request of the Russian customs to offer the information of Iranian exporters’ activities to Russia, Iran Customs International Cooperation Department gathers the directors of 11 top Iranian exporters to Russia whose main activities were in the fields of exporting dry goods, fruit, biscuits, sweets, chocolate, dairy and saffron.

As a pilot launch, Moscow and Tehran Customs are going to use the new green corridor for six months so the Iranian exporters can easily transfer their goods without customs formalities.

Hussein Kakhki, Director General of Customs International Cooperation Department said we have agreed with Russia that every Iranian company should introduce its Russian customer so it can transfer its goods without inspection.

Referring to the measures of Iran’s customs to facilitate trade and export, Abdolreza Gholami, director of Iran’s Customs export also stated that Russia has great potential for the Iranian market so by facilitating trade process, we can export many goods to the country.

Addressing Iran-Russia Business Forum in Tehran on Wednesday, Russia’s Minister on Energy Alexander Novak referred to inking of investment deals between economy ministries of the two countries saying “tariffs on certain export commodities have been cut down and a customs green corridor has been launched.”
