IRNA – The curator of Glassware and Ceramic Museum of Iran(Abgineh Museum) said that 33,996 domestic and foreign tourists visited the museum during the 8 months of the current Iranian calendar year (started on March 20).


Somayeh Mohebi said that some 18,914 domestic and 15,082 foreign tourists visited the museum in 8 months which showed 11% rise in domestic sector and 18% growth in foreign sector compared with the same period last year.

There are 2,064 historical potteries and glasses including 899 glasses, 680 potteries, 242 crystals and 243 exquisite objects, in Glassware and Ceramic Museum of Iran.

The museum was built on orders of Iran's Prime Minister in Qajar and Pahlavi dynasties Ahmad Qavam.
