Tasnim – Iran’s Intelligence Ministry forces have disbanded a team of terrorists in the western parts of the country, an official said.
Deputy Interior Minister for Security Affairs Hossein Zolfaqari told reporters on Wednesday that the three members of the terrorist cell had been trying to infiltrate the country through western borders.
In recent months, Iranian security forces have foiled several attempts by terrorist groups to enter the country and carry out acts of sabotage via western borders.
In October, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) ground troops smashed an armed gang affiliated with anti-revolutionary and terrorist groups, killing all its 12 members in an armed encounter in the western border province of Kermanshah.
