Iran, Czech Republic advance joint economic coop: Official

December 4, The Iran Project – Director of Iranian bureau for foreign investment says unlike the sanctions era, Iran and the Czech Republic have strengthened their joint economic cooperation after the nuclear deal and removal of sanctions.

Speaking to a reporter on Sunday, Abolfazl Koudehi said in the post-sanction era, Iran and the Czech Republic eyeing to boost trade ties, stressing that the Czech has high capacity in the mining industry.

Elsewhere in his remarks, he announced that the first joint economic commission between Iran and the Czech Republic will be held December 17-19, 2016 to increase the two countries’ trade and economic cooperation.

The two countries’ ministers of Economy and Industry, Mining and Trade are going to attend the commission, he added.

Iran’ Minister of Economy Ali Tayebnia and the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic Jan Mládek signed an economic MoU in January.

The agreement consisted of various provisions including formation of a joint commission between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Czech Republic aiming to put into operation the MoU as well as identifying the obstacles on development of bilateral ties, joint collaboration in the fields of industry and mining, construction of compound power plants as well as cooperation in the areas of technology transfer and railroad transit.
