Sputnik- US-Pakistani realtions won't be changed in the wake of Donald Trump's victory in the US presidential election, member of the National Assembly of Pakistan Mian Abdul Mannan told Sputnik on Wednesday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — A change of administration in the United States would make a marginal difference in the US-Pakistani relations and unlikely to change Islamabad’s course on closer engagement with the neighboring countries including Russia, China and Iran, Mannan said.

"There would be no drastic changes to the US-Pakistani relations as Trump will be controlled and monitored, including by Pentagon, as you know. US policy is not made by one person but maintained by the US institutions. Pakistan has recently shifted its attention to the neighboring countries such as China, Russia and India and unlikely to change this course," Mannan said.

He noted that many Pakistanis have reservations about Donald Trump persona over his anti-Muslim election rhetoric’s. Trump won the US presidential elections with 289 electoral votes against Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton's 218 votes.
