Intl. sanctions boost Iran’s energy market: Russian Co.

November 7, The Iran Project – Manager of the Russian power plant equipment maker, Power Machines OJSC, says in the past few years, international sanctions against Iran have become a factor for the development of the country’s energy market.

Speaking on the sidelines of Iran’s 16th International Electricity Exhibition (IEE), Alexander Zhnaev referred to international sanctions against Iran and stressed that Iranian proved that they could turn a threat to an opportunity and develop the country’s power industry and energy sector.

He reiterated that Iran is a model for other countries and companies and manufacturers should know that they can rely on themselves even in difficult economic conditions.

Referring to the technologies in Iran’s electricity industry, he said despite the sanctions, the two Iranian companies of Mapna and Azarab have been able to produce quality products in these years.

Power Machines OJSC is always ready to transfer the latest and most advanced technologies to Iran, especially to Mapna and Azarab, since the two companies have high-quality power plants and capable managers and specialists, as well.

Arash Behbahani, the representative of Russian Power Machines OJSC in Iran also said after the removal of sanctions, Iran's electricity market is now more active than ever, stressing that during the sanctions era, Russian has proved to be Iran’s friend and is now the only country that seriously cooperates to finance Iran’s projects.

Iran’s 16th International Electricity Exhibition (IEE) opened in Tehran on Saturday with representatives of around 650 companies from the Islamic Republic and other countries in attendance.
