Tehran seeks to step up its military and counterterrorism cooperation with Moscow, Iran's vice-president said.
BUSHEHR (Sputnik) — Iran wants to improve cooperation with Russia in the military industry and in the fight against terrorism, Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri said Saturday. "We want to develop cooperation [with Moscow] in the fight against terrorism," Jahangiri said at a ceremony near Bushehr.
He added that Tehran intends to work closer with Moscow in the military sector and pointed to the ongoing deliveries of Russia’s S-300 air defense systems to Iran. "The fact that Russia is handing over to us S-300s is a sign of deepening cooperation in this sphere," he stressed.
