Iran’s 4-month exports to Oman up 181% yr/yr

TEHRAN- Iran’s Commercial Attaché to Oman Abbas Abdolkhani announced that his country’s exports to Oman rose 181 percent in the first four months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 20-July 21) compared to the same period of time in the previous year.


The official put the worth of Iran’s exports to Oman at $375 million in the past Iranian calendar year, saying that the figure is anticipated to double in the current year, the portal of Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) announced on Tuesday.
Iran should increase its share in the Omani market through exports of foodstuff and constructional materials to the sultanate, Abdolkhani commented.
He put emphasis on the importance of planning to reach the annual trade of $4 billion between the two countries, and said that a roadmap has been drawn up to materialize this goal and will be unveiled in the 16th meeting of Iran-Oman Joint Economic Committee which is due to be held next month in Tehran.
Oman is planning to hold its first exclusive exhibition in Iran concurrent with the Joint Economic Committee meeting, the official added.
Abdolkhani also announced that according to Oman’s Ministry of Commerce, the country will issue one-year visas for 2,000 Iranian traders and businessmen introduced by the TPO.
