German delegation comprising of Volker Rieke, deputy head and acting director general of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, met with academics from Iran’s University of Science and Technology.

The German delegation toured the Iranian campus last week and the two sides discussed establishing a joint university or scientific center, ISNA reported.

Boosting bilateral ties in the areas of global warming, water shortage and renewable energies were stressed. Iran’s Hadi Shahriar Shah-Hosseini outlined the capabilities of the university in various fields and Volker Rieke presented a report on how to boost bilateral academic cooperation.
