TEHRAN, Aug 10 (Shana) -- A senior petroleum official says for the first time in Iran's oil history, the country became a sustainable exporter of petroleum products in the current Iranian calendar year which began on March 20.

Speaking to Shana, Managing Director of National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC) Abbas Kazemia said Iran has had sustainable export of petroleum products by exporting an average of 400,000 b/d of products in the current calendar year.

He said NIORDC's agenda on reduction of crude oil sale and production of value-added items.

He said Iran produced 50million liters of fuel oil and 14 million liters of gasoil over the Iranian month of Tir (June. 21-July 21).
This is while Iran was an importer of gasoil in 2014.
