TEHRAN (FNA)- A female ringleader of the terrorist separatist group, 'Kurdistan Freedom Party (PAK)', and the driver of the group's deputy leader Hossein Yazdanpanah surrendered themselves to the Iranian intelligence and security forces.

Maryam Kermashan who was the leader of the female members of the terrorist group followed her husband Keivan Mobaraki, nicknamed Chia, who was a senior member of the PAK and the driver of Yazdanpanah and surrendered to the Iranian intelligence authorities a few days ago.

During the past year, tens of leaders and members have defected from the terrorist group and surrendered themselves to the Iranian security forces.

The main headquarters of the terrorist group is in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region but it is at odds with the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) headed by Jalal Talabani.

PAK is affiliated to the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) which is a militant left-wing organization based in Turkey and the Iraqi Kurdistan Region.
