TEHRAN (FNA)- An Iranian Air Force training jet crashed in an area in the Southern parts of Iran on Sunday morning, sources said, adding that both pilots bailed out and are alive.

Sources told FNA that the Sukhoi 24 training jet crashed in the Southern region of Estahban-Kharameh, near Bakhtegan Lake, in Fars province.


Both the pilot and copilot could ejected safely and are healthy.


According to the sources, initial probe into the incident blamed technical flaw and engine failure for the incident.


More thorough investigations are underway, they added.
