Iran Army begins ground drills in Khuzestan
A senior Iranian commander says the Islamic Republic’s Army Ground Forces have launched 3-day military exercises in the country’s southwestern Khuzestan Province.


Brigadier General Ahmadreza Pourdastan announced the launch of the drills, codenamed Khatam al-Anbia, on Saturday.
Iran to start gas exports to Iraq soon – Minister
Iran will start exporting gas to Iraq within the next three months, Iranian Oil Minister Rostam Qasemi said on Sunday.

Qasemi, who met with his Iraqi counterpart Abdul Kareem al-Luaibi in Baghdad, said the agreement on Iranian gas supplies to Iraq had “reached the stage of final signing.”
Iran passes 3-month stop-gap budget as sanctions hit revenue
Iran’s parliament has passed a three-month stop-gap budget while it debates President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s full-year spending proposals, delivered nearly 90 days late at a time when economic sanctions have cast doubt over future revenue.

This year will be the third in a row that parliament has been unable to pass a full-year budget in time for the March 21 start of the Iranian calendar and fiscal year. Western sanctions over its disputed nuclear programme have cut oil exports by more than half over the past year, sharply reducing Iran’s income.
Report: Blast injures several people in south Iran
An Iranian semi-official news agency is reporting that an explosion has injured several people in a port in the south of the country.

The late Saturday report by ILNA did not specify the cause of the blast. It says it also damaged several cars and shattered windows of nearby buildings including a hotel in Imam Khomeini port, some 1,000 kilometers (620 miles) southwest of Tehran.
Iran sanctions to be eased if enrichment is limited: ISNA
World powers have offered to ease economic sanctions on Iran if it limits the enriched uranium at its disposal within six months, state-run Iranian Students News Agency reported, citing an unidentified Iranian diplomat.
