TEHRAN (FNA)- UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura said Thursday that the date of the next round of intra-Syrian reconciliation talks will be announced once consultations are held with the UN Security Council.

“I am going to discuss what would be the best options for the resumption of the talks. I am not in a position now, until after I'm briefed and consulted by the Security Council,” de Mistura said during a press conference in Brussels, Sputnik reported.

De Mistura repeated that an agreement from the intra-Syrian talks is still planned to be reached in August.

“The date of August is there and remains there. Does this mean we need to be in a hurry? The answer is yes,” de Mistura said.
