Beijing, May 20, IRNA – Former Japanese prime minister Yasuo Fukuda expressed hope on Friday that cooperation between Iran and Japan will further deepen in different areas.

Fukuda was speaking in a meeting with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi who is on a visit to Tokyo.

Referring to reaching a landmark nuclear deal between Iran and the six world powers last year, Fukuda expressed hope the deal would help give a boost to Tehran-Tokyo ties.
