Chabahar, May 19, IRNA – Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan underlined the seriousness and practicality of the government’s plans for the development of Makran coasts.

“(President Hassan Rouhani’s) government has serious programs for developing Makran coasts in Southern Iran,” Brigadier General Dehqan said.

He said that the government has set up a special workgroup to develop the Makran coasts and Islamic Revolution Leader has also laid emphasis on development of these strategic coasts.

“The permit for setting up Chabahar International Airport has been issues and the construction of the airport will begin soon with the help of special free zones organization,” the Iranian defense minister added.
