Tehran, May 18, IRNA – President Hassan Rouhani said Tehran attaches importance to Zagreb due to its geographical situation.


Croatia is a gate for Iran's relations with the European Union (EU), Rouhani said during a joint press conference with his visiting Croatian counterpart Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovi?.

President Rouhani said Iran and Croatia enjoy cultural and historical commonalities.

Iran has had good relations with Croatia, said Rouhani adding Iran also recognized Croatia as a friend soon after it declared independence.
