Iran, Thailand trade exchanges to rise ten-fold

3 Feb 2016 - 17:30

TEHRAN (ISNA)- The volume of Iran-Thailand economic exchanges would increase ten-fold, said Iranian Vice President for Executive Affairs Mohammad Shariatmadari.

Iran and Thailand signed 6 Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) as Thai Deputy Prime Minister Somkid Jatusripitak arrived in Iran on Tuesday.

The two sides can work in expanding trade and economic ties, exchanging technical delegations, cooperation in scientific, gas, petrochemistry, tourism, auto manufacturing, drugs and nano and bio-technology as well as knowledge-based companies, Shariatmadari said in a press conference with Jatusripitak here in Tehran.

Jatusripitak, for his part, said his country welcomes boosting cooperation with Iran, and stressed using Iran’s capacity and experiences in nano-technology and other areas.

He also described Iran as a powerful country with rich history, culture and civilization and said, “The Islamic Republic of Iran will definitely have a brighter future in the region and the world in the post-JCPOA era,” he said.
