Mufti of Croatian Islamic Com. praises Iran's understanding of Muslims situation

Tehran, January 14, The Iran Project – In a meeting with Iran's ambassador to Croatia, the mufti of the Croatian Islamic community hailed Iran's government understanding of both Muslims situations and current developments in the region, expressing interest in Iran's attendance in the ceremony of the 100th anniversary of Islam recognition in this European country .

In the meeting held on Wednesday, Aziz Hasanovic, mufti of the Islamic community in Croatia, praised Iranian outgoing ambassador to Croatia Mohammad Ibrahim Taherian's effective role in promoting the cooperation and ties between two countries, underlining the Iran's appropriate understanding of both Muslims situation and the regional developments.

Referring to the various programs which are to be held this year on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Islam recognition in Croatia, he expressed interest to the Iranian senior official attendance at a ceremony which is set to be held at the Croatia Parliament in late April.

He also noted the conference on Religion and Science in April, Quranic competition in October, and a ceremony for World Halal Day and other events scheduled to be held in Croatia to commemorate the event.

Elsewhere in this meeting, Mohammad Ibrahim Taherian congratulated the achievement to the Mufti and Croatian Muslim community, expressing Iran's readiness in taking part in the ceremonies to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Islamic recognition in this European country.
