Hegemonic powers seeking to create tension in Iran-Arab World ties

12 Jan 2016 - 10:34

Tehran, Jan 11, IRNA – Head of the Center for Strategic Research of the Expediency Council Ali-Akbar Velayati said on Monday that hegemonic powers are seeking to create tension in relations between Iran and the Arab World.

Referring to efforts by hegemonic powers over the past century to invent false ethnic ideologies, Velayati said that measures to create proximity among Islamic countries, especially between Iran and the Arab World are welcome.

He noted that Salafist and Takfiri terrorists, who do criminal acts with the support of Western intelligence agencies and the Saudi money, have nothing to do with the Arab World.

Arab World leaders and Sunni Muslims have repeatedly confirmed the role of Iran and Shia Muslims in countering these deviant movements, Velayati said.
