Islamabad, Dec 8, IRNA - Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif arrived in Islamabad on Tuesday evening to attend the fifth ministerial conference of 'Heart of Asia' in Pakistan's capital.

The representatives from over 40 countries and 10 international and regional institutions are slated to attend the two-day event to be inaugurated on Wednesday.

While in Pakistan, Zarif is slated to hold talks with Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif and also his Chinese, Pakistani, Tajik and Indian counterparts.

The foreign minister may also hold bilateral meeting with Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani on the sidelines of the conference.

Foreign ministers from China, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Turkey, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan will attend the event.
