Tehran, Oct 20, IRNA – President Hassan Rouhani reiterated on utilization of modern technologies, including nanotechnology, for the future of the country.

'The government will still continue to support the new technologies and knowledge-based economy,' President Rouhani said on Tuesday, addressing a meeting of the Supreme Cultural Revolution Council in Tehran.

President Rouhani said that paying attention and prioritizing the country's main needs and also competitive presence in the scientific and technological arenas of the world is necessary for maintaining the country's scientific and technological acceleration.

During the meeting that had the 10-year program for the development of nano sciences and technologies on its agenda, the Iranian president voiced his pleasure the remarkable growth of Iran in nano sciences and technologies, and said that this field is prioritized by the government.
