Freed Iranian teachers to resume work in UAE tomorrow: Official

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Ten Iranian teachers who were released in the United Arab Emirates after being detained over alleged visa issues will return to work tomorrow, an official at Iran’s Education Ministry announced Saturday.

Mohammad Fazel told Tasnim on Saturday that all of the teachers have been freed and reunited with their families thanks to the efforts made by Iran’s education and foreign ministries.
He added that they will get back to work on Sunday, noting that there is no obstacle on way of continuation of Iranian schools’ activities in the Arab country.
Earlier, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Consular, Parliamentary and Expatriates' Affairs Hassan Qashqavi announced the teachers had been freed by the Arab country’s officials.
10 Iranian teachers were arrested a week ago in the UAE for lacking work permits.
Media reports on Monday suggested that the teachers were having a "bad experience" in prison and had their heads shaved.
Iran on Sunday had summoned the charge d’affaires of the United Arab Emirates in Tehran to protest at the arrests.
