Iran to boost scientific ties with Swiss AFPL

Tehran, October 10, The Iran Project – A senior official at the Ministry of Science says the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (AFPL) has voiced readiness to boost scientific and educational interactions with Iran.

Speaking on the joint meeting between Swiss delegation and Iranian ministry of science, Vahid Ahmadi, research and technology deputy of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology said that AFPL is one of the world leading technological universities which has enrolled over 170 Iranian students in different courses.

Ahmadi underlined the APFL authorities' interest to expand the scientific and educational ties with Iran, adding that the university has voiced readiness to establish the student and teacher exchange programs in many research areas particularly humanities, archeology and environment.

"We plan to expand the scientific ties in joint projects, research opportunities, joint conferences and so on," he noted.

Earlier the delegations from different countries including Germany, Italy, Austria and France had visited Iran to promote the level of scientific cooperation.
