TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Countries Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said Tehran supports Russian counter-terrorism measures in Syria and its assistance for Syrian Army.

Tehran and Moscow have always supported Syrian nation and government in the process of fighting terrorism, he said.

US dual-track approach towards terrorism has fueled insecurity in the region and US silence over the imposed war on Yemen have helped formation of a new terrorist stream in Yemen, Amir-Abdollahian said.

The senior Iranian official said the danger of returning the new wave of terrorism from Yemen is threatening the world.

The Iranian official warned that global players need to take serious the intertwined chain of terrorism in Iraq, Syria and Yemen.
