Tehran, Prov., Oct 2, IRNA – A high-ranking diplomatic official on Friday dismissed as 'sheer lie' the western media claim that Iranian troops had arrived in Syria for ground operations.

Daily Asharq Al-Awsat has claimed that hundreds of Iranian forces had arrived in Syrian territory for group operations.
