Iranian Maestro to perform at Bratislava Symphony Orchestra

TEHRAN, Sep. 30 (MNA) – Conductor of the Tehran Symphony Orchestra, maestro Ali Rahbari, has been invited to have a performance at Bratislava Music Festival.

The organizers of International Bratislava Music Festival in Austria have invited Iran’s Ali Rahbari to perform in the festival for the second consecutive year.

Ali Rahbari who is the general music director of the Tehran Symphony Orchestra will be the only conductor who attends the festival form the Middle East.

Every year, Bratislava Music Festival invites world-famous conductors and Symphony Orchestras to perform at the festival.

So far, numerous famous orchestras have attended the festival including the Philharmonic orchestras of Vienna, Berlin, London, Amsterdam, Czech as well as dozens of great world leaders like Herbert von Karajan, Kurt Masur, Claudio Abbado, Zubin Mehta, Ozawa Si Zhi, Rollin Maazel, Riccardo Motti, Ricardo Shayy and Eötvös Bernstein.

The festival invites musically inclined people from around the world to contribute their talents in the several categories including children and youth orchestras, vocal ensembles, traditional music, folk music, brass and string orchestras, or a combination of both vocal and instrumental choirs.

Born in Iran, Ali Rahbari was trained in Vienna as a pupil of Gottfried von Einem, Hans Swarowsky and Karl Österreicher.

On his return to Iran, only 24 years old, he was appointed director of the Teheran Conservatory of Music and since then has taken a leading position in the cultural development of his country.
