9 Sep 2015 - 15:16

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Delegations of Kuwait, the UAE and Iraq’s oil industries plan to visit Iran, said Iranian Deputy Oil Minister for International Affairs Amir-Hossein Zamani-Nia.

“I should stress that our neighbors are our best trade partners in terms of economy, policy and security. Neighboring states are in dire need of gas and it is expected that the issue will come true by the next three years after launching the remaining phases of South Pars.”

He also said Iran hails return of giant oil companies to Iran, and said, adding, “We seriously welcome the issue. Besides Total, Royal Dutch Shell, and Eni, some American companies have expressed willingness for presence in Iran.”

He further said that based on an article in Vienna agreement, US companies cannot work in Iran but their agencies can based on certain rules and regulations. “In my opinion, the issue can make a change in bilateral ties between the two countries. These companies have called us.”
