President Rouhani hopes for positive changes between Iran-Austria ties

Tehran, Sept 8, IRNA – President Hassan Rouhani here on Tuesday expressed hope that the travel of his Austrian counterpart Heinz Fischer to Iran could bring about positive changes for the two countries.

President Rouhani made the remarks in a joint press conference attended by Fischer.
Touching upon the two countries cordial and good relationship, President Rouhani stressed that the two countries enjoy ancient-old relations.
He also appreciated the Austrian government for holding the historical negotiations between Iran and P5+1 countries.
Rouhani officially welcomed Fischer at the Sa’dabad Cultural Complex in Tehran on Tuesday.
Iranian and Austrian presidents conferred latest regional and international developments after the welcome ceremony.
Austrian president arrived in Tehran yesterday evening leading a delegation consisting of 130 Austrian companies.
Fischer is the first European head of state to visit Iran following the successful conclusion of nuclear talks between the Islamic Republic and the P5+1.
An economic delegation is accompanying Fischer in his trip who comprises representatives of more than 130 Austrian companies to take advantage of Iran’s new atmosphere after the removal of sanctions.
Austria’s Foreign Minister Sebastian Kurz as well as Vice Chancellor and Economy Minister Reinhold Mitterlehner accompany Fischer in his trip to Tehran.
