Iran held talks with P5+1 for removal of sanctions: Ayat. Khamenei

3 Sep 2015 - 15:13

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei says Iran held nuclear talks with the P5+1 countries for the removal of sanctions against Tehran, and that there would be no deal between the two sides if the bans remain in place.

In a meeting with officials of Iran’s Assembly of Experts on Thursday, Ayatollah Khamenei said the Islamic Republic entered the negotiations with the six world powers to secure the lifting of all sanctions against the country.

The Leader slammed the statements by some US officials on maintaining the restrictive measures against Iran, saying there would be no point in Tehran’s nuclear negotiations with the P5+1 states – the US, France, Britain, Russia, China and Germany – should the sanctions against the country remain in place.
