Villages home to 20-plus households to get access to Internet: Minister

The government is trying to make the Internet accessible in all Iranian villages home to more than 20 households by the yearend [March 21, 2016], Mahmoud Vaezi, the minister of telecommunications and information technology, said.

There are more than 38,000 villages in the country, he said, adding “Presently, some 90 percent of the villages which are home to at least 20 families have landlines.”
