Tehran, July 10, IRNA – President Hassan Rouhani on Friday appreciated the massive participation of the Iranian nation in the nationwide International Quds Day rallies.

According to IRNA, the President made the remarks when he was joining the ranks of people who were rallying to observe the global occasion.

The great Iranian nation attended the International Quds Day rallies despite keeping a vigil last night to observe the holy Qadr night rituals, said the President.

The holy night of Qadar (the Night of Power or Laylatul Qadr) is when the holy Quran was revealed. Some commentators believe it was the night when the Quran was brought down from Baytul M`amur (Heavenly abode), for Jibrael to reveal in parts to the Prophet (PBUH). Others say it was the night when the Prophet received the entire Quran, but was asked to transmit it as and when the occasion demanded.

Believers are encouraged to stay awake the entire night, and pray for blessings and forgiveness.

President Rouhani said a bright future waits for all Muslims, particularly the Palestinian nation, as all are working hard to attain their sublime goals through maintaining unity, solidarity and Jihadi spirit.
