The upcoming meeting between Tehran and the P5+1 group of international mediators is critical as the deadline to reach a comprehensive political agreement on the Iranian nuclear program is approaching, Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Li Baodong said Sunday.
VIENNA (Sputnik) — Iran and the six world powers, comprising Russia, the United States, China, France, Britain and Germany, have to reach a final deal that would secure the peaceful nature of Tehran’s nuclear program in exchange for a gradual lifting of anti-Iran sanctions until Tuesday.
"It is a critical time, it's a critical meeting," Li who will represent China in the talks, told reporters upon his arrival in Vienna.
"We hope that we can have a deal on time. We see that all parties are committed to the process of negotiations."
