Iran to agree with extension of nuclear talks in case an ambiguity remains: Nobakht

24 Jun 2015 - 17:51

Tehran, June 24, IRNA – Government spokesman Mohammad-Baqer Nobakht said Wednesday that if any ambiguity remains that could be removed by extending nuclear talks, Iran will agree with such an extension.

Nobakht made the remarks in an exclusive interview with IRNA when asked to comment about remarks made by White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest on Monday that the deadline for reaching a final deal with Iran could be extended.

Nobakht, however, expressed hope that Iran and the six world powers would meet the deadline and achieve a good deal within the remaining time.

In his press briefing on Monday, the White House press secretary had said he agreed with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif that striking a good deal is more important than meeting the deadline.
