Tehran, June 9, The Iran Project – Iran will not allow any illegal rally against  women's presence at male sporting events and those who violate it will face justice, says Government Spokesman Mohammad Bagher Nobakht in a press conference on Tuesday.


Answering a question about whether the government allows staging rallies against women’s entry into sporting arenas, Mohammad Bagher Nobakht said the government will not allow any illegal rally, stressing that those who do not act accordingly will be dealt with seriously.

A conservative group called on people to stage a ‘bloody protest’ on June 19 to fight against women’s presence in sports stadiums.

Nobakht further noted that vice president for women and family affairs announced the news related to women’s presence in sporting clubs, and if necessary I will ask her for explanations.
