Bandar Abbas, May 28, IRNA – Minister of Defense Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan said Thursday that Daesh terrorist group is not capable of threatening Iranian borders and that Tehran does not regard Daesh as a threat.

Speaking to IRNA, Dehqan said that the Iranian nation will not welcome Daesh terrorists.

Capability of Iranian security, military and police forces is so high that it can thwart any hostile act before it begins, the defense minister said.

Dehqan made it clear that the Iranian security forces are keeping a close watch on Daesh forces.

If Daesh could do any acts against the Iranian security, it would have begun so far, the general added.

'Military and security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran will undoubtedly give a harsh response to any acts threatening the Iranian security,' he said.
