No inspection of military sites, interview with nuclear scientists: Araqchi

Tehran, May 24, IRNA - Iran's senior nuclear neogitator Abbass Araqchi said on Sunday Iran has reiterated that it will neither allow access to its military sites nor any interview with its nuclear scientists.

Following the two-hour closed door session in Majlis (Parliament), Araqchi who attended the meeting along with Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said,

'In this session, Mr. Zarif and I explained that during (nuclear) negotiatoins, the road to any misuse has been in principle closed.'

He termed the meeting with lawmakers helpful and added, 'We provided them with the procedures under Additional Protocol (to NPT) on managed access to the non-nuclear sites and on security measures adopted by the members to safeguared their military, nuclear and industiral data against espionage.'

'The negotiators are only acting only within the framework of principles and red-lines stipulated by the Supreme Leader of revolution,' the deputy foreign minister added.

He also denied some quotations attributed to him from today's session as 'totally inaccurate' and urged media to pay attention to the sensitivities of the nuclear negotiatons and put national interest above other priorities.
