Tehran, May 20, IRNA – United Nations Undersecretary-General and Emergency Relief Coordinator Valerie Amos met and conferred with Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in Tehran on Wednesday.

Amos arrived in Tehran earlier in the day to hold talks with top-ranking Iranian officials.

Amos is also scheduled to hold a separate meeting with Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian during her stay in Tehran.

She is due to discuss the latest developments in Iraq, Yemen and Syria with the Iranian officials.

This is the third visit to Tehran by Valerie Amos as the UN undersecretary-general and emergency relief coordinator.
