TEHRAN (FNA)- The number two man in Russian foreign policy and the country's chief negotiator in nuclear talks with Tehran, Sergei Ryabkov said the factsheet released by the White House after the recent understanding issued by Iran and the six world powers in Lausanne, Switzerland, ignores troublesome issues.

"The United States' briefing note that spells out the main provisions of the agreement regarding the Iran nuclear program is true to fact but misses a list of outstanding issues," Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said, according to Russian news agencies.

"The US reference material is correct and free from distortions. It contains an understanding which corresponds exactly with the agreement reached in Lausanne but it overlooks outstanding issues: the sequence of the lifting of the sanctions and the criteria to be met, triggers, activation tools - none of them are mentioned. They have yet to be coordinated," he told reporters on Monday.

Ryabkov added that "quite serious process" lied ahead to work out mutually acceptable solutions, "not only technical, but also political."
"Judging by the comments from Washington and Tehran after April 2, both the American and the Iranian side set forth their respective positions on this issue. So, there’s no contradiction here, there’s a need to come to an agreement," the Russian deputy foreign minister said.

Commenting on Washington’s statement that sanctions against Iran could be lifted after the approval of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Ryabkov didn’t confirm this information.

"I’m not sure that I am ready to confirm this as an understanding reached in full measure with the participation of Iranians," the diplomat said.
