Marivan- A joint Iran- Iraq industrial town is due to be opened in the bordering northwestern city of Marivan, Kurdistan province, deputy secretary said.




“The Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to launch the project and extend trade ties between Iran and Iraq,” Deputy Secretary for Iran- Iraq Economic Development, Hurmat Fareqi said.

He said the project is done in line with Iran- Kurdistan Region agreement, stressing the running of project will be finalized next week in Iranian western province of Kermanshah, where officials from Kurdistan Region provinces of Dohuk, Arbil and Sulaymaniyah an Iranian provinces of Kurdistan, Western Azerbaijan and Kermanshah will gather to discuss the project in detail.
