14 Apr 2015 - 14:45

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Putin lauded Iran’s ‘fundamental policy’ in constructive interaction with the world.

“Iran’s close cooperation with G5+1 is the origin of formation of important actions,” said Russian President Vladimir Putin in a meeting with Secretary of Iranian Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani in Moscow.

He also referred to lifting ban on S-300 missile to Iran, and said the decision signals a specified message on necessity of countries’ adherence to their commitments.

Shamkhani, for his part, appreciated Russian constructive role in regional and international developments, and said lifting the ban was a ‘valuable measure’ in boosting bilateral ties between the two countries.

He also said military aggression against Yemen is an apparent example of violating human rights and moral principle, warning that resorting to violence and militarism instead of negotiations would create bitter experiences in Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan.

Shamkhani is in Moscow to join the 10th meeting of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) secretaries of national security councils in Moscow.

The conference is scheduled for April 14th. Kazakhstan, China, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan as member states and Afghanistan, Iran, India, Pakistan and Mongolia as observers would take part in the event.

The participants focuses on security in SCO.
