Iran, Russia discuss bilateral ties, regional developments

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Secretary of Iranian Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani met with his Russian counterpart Nikolai Platonovich Patrushev in Moscow on Monday.

The two sides discussed issues of mutual interests as well as key regional and international developments.

Shamkhani is in Moscow to join the 10th meeting of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) secretaries of national security councils in Moscow.

He would meet with Russian political and security officials and officials of other countries taking part in the meeting.

The conference is scheduled for April 14th. Kazakhstan, China, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan as member states and Afghanistan, Iran, India, Pakistan and Mongolia as observers would take part in the event.

The participants would focus on security in SCO.
