TEHRAN (ISNA)- A senior Iranian commander reiterated that the country would give a ‘mighty response’ to any aggression against Iran.

Commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Air Defense Base Brigadier General Farzad Esmaili made the remarks following recent remarks of the US Secretary of Dense Ashton Carter who claimed that his country is capable of destroying Iranian nuclear program.

“We will give a tough response to these unfounded and baseless remarks. We will give a mighty response to any aggression. Our resistance does not need to be proved. Because, we proved our capabilities over the eight-year holy defense (eight-year war imposed on Iran by Iraq).

He also said that Iranian air defense does not have any limit in defending the country’s achievements.
