Zarif starts Oman, Pakistan tour

TEHRAN, Apr. 08 (MNA) – Iran’s FM has started his Oman and Pakistan tour today to meet with the officials there and examine the latest situation in the region.

Mohammad Javad Zarif and his accompanying delegation will first head to the Omani capital Muscat to hold meetings with the country’s foreign ministry officials on bilateral relations.

Zarif will then leave for Islamabad to meet with the Pakistani officials.

Examining bilateral relations and the latest regional developments are the two main objectives of this two-day trip.

According to FM spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham, Zarif will also discuss international developments in meetings with the two countries’ senior officials.

Afkham also highlighted the sensitivity and importance of the current developments in the region as underlying Zarif’s trip to the two countries.
