LAUSANNE (Sputnik) – China has proposed a four-point plan on following up on the negotiations on Iran’s nuclear energy issue, according to a document released by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Wednesday. The P5+1 and Iran Group has been trying to hammer out a solid deal on Iran’s nuclear ambitions in energy supplies in Lausanne, Switzerland, for several days.

“The Iranian nuclear negotiation involves a lot of technical issues, and any agreement to be reached must be supported by special expertise,” Wang said in the document.

Wang said that the P5+1 and Iran Group needs to come to an agreement on the core concerns of each of the parties and that the UN Security Council should play the key role.

"The parties must think creatively and work out a package solution. I wish to emphasize that no agreement is possible without accommodating the core concerns of the various parties. I wish to emphasize that no agreement is possible without accommodating the core concerns of the various parties and that it is vitally important to give play to the role of the United Nations Security Council," Wang’s statement reads.

Wang added that it was necessary to narrow down the differences between the parties and hold to a gradual approach and reciprocity in the issue.

“It would take a process to resolve the Iranian nuclear issue, which must be advanced step by step and on the basis of reciprocity. All parties must shoulder their due responsibility and obligation,” the document says.
