27 Mar 2015 - 14:17

Minister will join the nuclear negotiations with Iran as they arrive in Lausanne, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Ravanchi told Sputnik.

LAUSANNE (Sputnik) — Talks between Iran and the P5+1 group on Tehran's nuclear program will continue regardless of foreign ministers' presence in Lausanne, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Ravanchi told Sputnik.
"The ministers will arrive gradually, so we will continue our discussions, and when they arrive we will continue talks with them," Ravanchi said, adding that talks at the ministerial level could be helpful.

Iran and the P5+1 group of international mediators, comprising Russia, China, the United States, the United Kingdom, France and Germany, are attempting to reach an agreement guaranteeing a peaceful nature of Tehran's nuclear program. The negotiating parties are expected to work out a political framework agreement on the issue in March, while a long-term comprehensive deal should be struck by July.

Earlier on Thursday, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that the form of a document on a deal over Iran's nuclear program had not yet been defined, adding that it was too early to say if it would be a fact-sheet or a press statement.
