Tehran, March 15, IRNA – Mehdi Hashemi, controversial businessman, accused of abusing influence for membership in family of Chairman of Expediency Council Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, was sentenced to 15 years in prison, it was announced on Sunday.

Judiciary will make public details of the verdict.
