Tehran, Feb 20, IRNA -- Tehran Substitute Friday Prayers Leader Ayatollah Movahedi Kermani said diplomatic impetus in nuclear talks is necessary but self-reliance is also a must.



Addressing thoussands of worshippers in Tehran, the ayatollah said Iran has science, technology, weapons, international prestige, and millions of talented youth, while the Americans have many political and economic problems and a multi-billion dollar budget dificit.


'Furthermore, they have deep differences inside their country and with Europe.'


Referring to the remarks of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, the cleric said if the negotiations lead to an agreement, so much the better, but if they fail, we must look inside.


'We should strengthen our internal potentials and our nuclear situation is much better now than 10 years ago,' said Ayatollah Movahedi Kermani.
