Tehran, Feb 13, IRNA – In the Islamic world and within Islamic societies the Muslims should treat each other based on the norms presented to them in the Glorious Qur'an, said the interim Friday prayers leader of Tehran in his first sermon today.
 'The preferred Qur'anic approach is responding gracefully even when you are encountered with misbehavior,' said Ayatollah Seyyed Ahmad Khatami addressing thousands of Tehrani worshipers.


He said that six holy verses in the Holy Qur'an focus on advising the Muslims not to take revenge equally with the aggressors' crimes in the Islamic and faith-based societies.

'The individuals are sometimes faced with inappropriate behaviors. We cannot say that since we have been living in an Islamic society such behaviors do not exist any longer, although that should not be the case, but unfortunately such behaviors are seen more or less in our society,' said the Friday prayers interim imam, focusing on social norms in a religious society.

Khatami said that even in encountering such inappropriate behaviors Islam does not encourage resorting to aggressive moves, as our religion encourages dealing with the indecent deeds modestly and decently.
