Oil Minister has not predicted oil price falls

24 Jan 2015 - 22:30

Tehran, Jan 24, IRNA – Iranian Oil Ministry on Saturday evening rejected as baseless the reports attributed to Iranian oil minister saying that he predicted oil price falls to $25 in the future.
'The Oil Ministry categorically rejects as baseless the reports attributed to the Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh saying that he predicted oil price falls to 25 dollars,' reads the Oil Ministry communiqué.

'The Oil minister has in his recent interview predicted no price, whatsoever, for the future of the oil prices in the international markets,' it said.

Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh had described the collapse as “a political plot” intended to weaken his nation, on January 4 conference in Tehran.

Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani said January 13 that nations responsible for the price falls will “regret it,” without specifying the responsible one.
